McRae was governor from 1921 until 1925. His grave is in Prescott, Nevada County, Arkansas. The marker reads, "Thomas Chipman McRae Governor of Arkansas from January 12, 1921 to January 14, 1925. Born December 21, 1851, died June 2, 1929."
